Our Horses

While we love all our horses dearly, this is a business and therefore they are all for sale for the right price to the right home.  See someone you like? Make us an offer!  You just never know . . .

“Nex” – 2006 Brown Stallion
(Bully Bullion x Beautiful Dreams – Majors Meyers)

Nexavar, an own son of Bully Bullion out of a Majors Meyers/ Shawne Bug mare, produces well built, friendly, smart foals. With his own list of accomplishments including over $45,000 in earnings, he is an excellent cross for both race bred and cutting bred mares.

Bully FromThe Get Go
“Kobe”2011 Brown Gelding (Nexavar x Miss Zan Olena – Slush Fund)
2016 was Kobe’s first year of competition.  With limited showing he proved to be a consistent competitor!  He won the Panty Raid 5 year old futurity in April.  He also ran well at Plainfield Riding Club with two wins and a second and took home the buckle for fastest time of the year.  His older full brother was named Rondo, so he inherited the name of a rival basketball player.

Zan Nex
“Scrappy” – 2012 Brown Gelding (Nexavar x Miss Zan Olena – Slush Fund)
Scrappy described this colt well from the day he was born!  He has always picked on his pasture mates, but is mellow and easy going enough that he has been giving lessons since he was three!  He will jump around a course, slow work a barrel pattern, or jog one handed for horsemanship!

Shake It For Tina
Here’s another colt that has us excited for the 2017 futurity year.  Yogi was born and raised here and everything is easy for him.  His athletic ability partnered with his precocious personality have made him quite a mascot!  He was named after our dear friend Tina, whom we lost to cancer.

Cats Red Candy
“Twizzle” – 2013 Bay Gelding (Red Storm Cat x My Candys Okay – Okey Dokey Dale)
This handsome colt just oozes talent!  He is proving to be incredibly easy to train and athletic.  It doesn’t hurt that he’s really easy on the eyes as well!

Nex Favorite Bully
“Spidey” – 2014 Bay Gelding (Nexavar x Favorite Task – Special Task)
As the first Nexavar colt to run on the track, Spiderman made us proud!  He had two second place finishes and an AA (84) Speed Index.  He will race again in 2017 then come home to barrel race.

Decked The Bully
“Skeeter” –  2014 Brown Gelding (Nexavar x Hi Flyin Sign – Vital Sign)
Skeeter is just getting started with the basics but is showing great promise to be a super barrel racer!

Bug The Bully
“Moxie” – 2014 Black Mare (Famous Bugs x Gold Liquidity – Bully Bullion)
Moxie needs a page of her own for the story of her rough beginning with many trips to Cornell University and being hand raised! Her spunk and athletic ability have us thinking her future looks BRIGHT!

Sign Of A Bully
“Decker” – 2015 Brown Colt (Nexavar x Hi Flyin Sign – Vital Sign)

Hi Flyin Sign
Smoke is the first barrel horse I ever trained. She has taught me soooo much! Her accomplishments include top ten finishes at the AQHA Congress in the Sweepstakes and Junior Barrel racing and the AQHA World Show as well as top five placings at the NYS NBHA Finals and ARHA World Championship show as well as many 1D wins. She had several foals by our stallion, Nexavar, and one foal by Sherry Cervi’s stallion, Dinero. We have been very happy with all of her foals and will continue to breed her to Nexavar.

Gold Liquidity
Ally is a very special mare. Her small size does not deter her at all in competing with the bigger boys. She has finished in the top five at the Colonial Nationals, AQHA World show, ARHA World show, and several major futurities in the US and Canada. She currently holds the arena record at TWO arenas. During her down time, she enjoys providing horsemanship and reining lessons for the Cornell University Western Equestrian Team. As the only broodmare we own who is related to Nexavar, we have bred her twice to Bo Hill’s stallion, Famous Bugs.  Her foals are PHENOMENAL athletes with plenty of personality!

Punchs LadyBugOnFire

Meyla is a wonderful mother! Her first foal is by Nexavar and is a very handy, beautiful filly! Unfortunately her barrel racing career was cut short after a promising beginning due to an injury.

Truly A Favorite

J Lo retired from a very successful career as a racehorse. She ran AAA (94 si) and made over $39,000. We liked her too much to race her in the claiming races, and she didn’t have any other eligibilities. She has foals by FastAzYouFly, Royal Shakem and Nexavar.

Classy Bars Affair

“Jimmy” is one of our wonderful lesson horses.   He is retired from a successful career as an English and western show horse.   His slooooow western jog is smooth enough for the greenest beginner to enjoy, and his rocking horse lope is great for building confidence. Thanks to good friend Jim Barton for sharing this fantastic horse with us. * Jimmy is not for sale or lease *

Chex That Boomerjack
“Boomer” – 2007 Chestnut Gelding (Mister Boomer Jack x My Destiny Smoking – Pauli OLena)
Boomer is a fabulous jack-of-all-trades lesson horse.  He is a fantastic teacher, whether we are working on reining, barrels, or horsemanship.

Well Worth It
Proudly owned by Kurty/Barton/and Walsh partnership, this classy stakes placed mare with a 106 SI and over $77,000 in earnings, has earned her retirement to the broodmare band.   Her name came from the $ brand of her breeders,  Double Bar S Stable, on her shoulder.

Definitely Carter
Proudly owned by Kurty/Barton/and Walsh partnership, Carter raced lightly as a 2 year old and is now in barrel racing training.
